Committee Descriptions

The St. Paul Art Collective is always looking for volunteers to help us meet our mission. Please contact the appropriate committee chairperson to explore opportunities to contribute to the work of any of our our committees.

Board Development Committee

The St. Paul Art Collective board of directors are responsible for the overall direction and governance of the organization. The board development committee focuses on building a strong board of directors through training and resources to improve overall performance to achieve our mission and vision. Communications Committee

The scope of the Communications committee includes:

  • Communication to the General Public
  • Press and Media relations
  • Marketing Strategy
  • Direct Creative and Branding Material
  • Event Promotional Material
  • Stays within the margins approved by the President and Treasurer for promotional spending per activity or event.

Finance Committee

The scope of the Finance Committee includes: budgeting and financial planning, financial reporting, and the creation and/or monitoring of internal controls and accountability policies and practices. Potential volunteers can send email inquiries to the current chairperson, Thomas Burke.

Fundraising Committee

The Scope of the Fundraising Committee includes: pursuing grants and grant writing, developing products and/or service offerings, developing and executing fundraising plans, and collecting donations. Potential volunteers can send email inquiries to the current chairperson, Caleb VanDeman.

Historic Preservation Committee

The St. Paul Art Collective Historical Preservation Committee safeguards the legacy of the collective. We are dedicated to preserving, documenting, and sharing this history in order to foster a deeper understanding of our cultural heritage.

Membership Committee

The Scope of the Membership Committee includes:

  • Responding to questions/concerns from members about their membership status. 
  • Evaluation of the current membership model to determine if modifications are required.
  • Maintenance of MembershipWorks and Stripe software platforms

Operations Committee

The Operations Committee focuses on internal operations and the technologies utilized to keep the organization running. Potential volunteers can send email inquiries to the current chairperson, Camille Gonzalez.

Programming Committee

The Scope of the Programming Committee includes:

  • Art Crawl and any other future events we charter
  • This committee may benefit from recruiting members and from individuals from local organizations and schools to participate 
  • Develop budgets for event and programs to submit to Board
  • Develop a list of programming priorities
  • Maintain a calendar of events and important dates
  • Organize/Facilitate Coordinators’ Meetings
  • Oversee Greeting Program
  • Secure and organize space for events and/or exhibitions

Youth Committee

The Youth Committee focuses on bringing the joy of art to St. Paul’s Youth. Potential volunteers can send email inquiries to the current chairperson, Emma Fitzsimmons.
