Community Members

Community Members include galleries, theaters, non-profits and groups of artists who present themselves as an entity. This category allows the admin of the group to present their group to our audience, adding art to the member profile from artists they represent, who may or may not be artist members of the Collective.

Sponsor Members

We ask you to support the Collective by becoming a Sponsor Member with a donation of $120. This comes with a profile in the online Directory which is an opportunity to market your artwork, business, or organization while supporting the Collective. The Sponsor Member has control of their member profile, where they can present themselves to our community.

District Sponsor Members have an addition profile page for their own self-named District Spotlight Gallery with a donation of $500.

Program Sponsor Members are recognized at the $2500 level. This level of support makes a real difference in our programming.

Major Funders are recognized at the $10,000 level. This represents the kind of support we traditionally receive from foundations and public funders like the State Arts Board. You could be as important to our community as these funders.

Advertising opportunities could be developed. We would welcome advice.

Membership in the Collective is not required to participate in the Saint Paul Art Crawl. Membership provides a profile in the Directory which can be used by online visitors to find you.

If you prefer Art Crawl ONLY with no profile in the directory, registration with any of the venues holding Art Crawl events is required. Each venue has it’s own protocols. Some charge a fee and some do not, even if you are a member of the Collective.

If you are going to become a member and you need a location to show your work for the Crawl, please contact the venue and secure a location before you complete your registration.

Members Event Calendar

The Member Event Calendar is public, viewable by ALL website visitors.

You can link to it promotions and designate payment options in our system or your own site.

You can send the event link directly to your customers.

You may subscribe to Event Calendar, which gives you and the public reminders about upcoming happenings involving members, the community, and the Collective.

You can add Events in searchable categories:

  • Show openings, art festivals, open studios
  • Music, theater shows, and performances
  • Classes, demos, and workshops
  • Meetings for your group or organization

. . . and probably a lot of other things we haven’t thought of yet!

You do not need to be a member to volunteer. There are many communities that are organizing events and pursuing programs to advance artist community.

The Board of Directors’ meetings are open to the public and Members are encouraged to attend — to ask question, provide insights, or simply observe, if you choose. The meeting dates and times, as well as agenda items are posted on the event calendar.

As a member you can participate in governance, strategic planning, and program implementation. Members can have voting participation on committees of the Collective, where the real work to carry out projects happens. Members may form committees, and with board approval establish a budget and seek funding for their initiative.

Please consider serving as a volunteer on a planning committee or the website, doing small task work for events, or as a member of the St Paul Art Collective Board of Directors
